Product safety
Does Fadaria jewellery comply with product safety regulations?
Yes. Our products comply with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 10 May 2023 on general product safety (GPSR) and meet the REACH requirements on the safety of materials and chemical substances. Every product can be identified by its markings or its certificate. If a risk is detected, a product may be withdrawn from the market – we will inform customers without delay, in line with GPSR procedures.
Is jewellery safe for children?
Jewellery is not a toy. It contains small parts that can cause choking if swallowed, so children should only wear jewellery under adult supervision. We recommend checking pieces regularly for damage and loose parts.
What are the risks of wearing jewellery?
Swallowing and choking – small parts, especially for children. Injury – sharp edges, damaged parts and clasps. Allergic reactions – possible if the metal alloy contains nickel or other allergenic elements. If you notice signs of an allergy, stop wearing the jewellery immediately and consult a doctor.
How should I wear and store jewellery safely?
Avoid prolonged contact with water and chemicals (detergents, chlorine, cosmetics, perfume, anything containing sulphur, such as rubber) – they can cause tarnishing, discolouration and dullness. Store jewellery in a box or soft pouch to prevent scratches and tangling. Take it off before sleeping and during activities that could damage it. Tarnishing of silver and gradual wear of finishes (such as rhodium or gold plating) are natural. Clean gold in warm soapy water, plain silver with a silver polishing cloth, and plated silver with a soft damp cloth only. More tips in our jewellery care guide.
